Herefordshire Bat Group

HBG is an integral part of the HEREFORDSHIRE MAMMAL GROUP through which it is organised and run.

Although there is no formal, general bat group in the county, many of HMG's members are bat enthusiasts and are actively involved in bat surveys, bat rescue and other projects.

As bats attract a high profile in the county, HMG decided to put up a Herefordshire Bat Group website designed specifically to address the many questions that HMG receive specifically about bats, their care and welfare.  We also receive a lot of queries from residents with concerns for bats and other wildlife, particularly relating to development issues.

There is also the independent Herefordshire Bat Research Group that undertake specialist surveys and bat-related projects.  Their activities can be viewed on their Facebook site.
